Stoned bagels are a thing now

Pot-infused foods are nothing new, but a bagel store in New York is serving up a new twist on the genre – cannabis-cured salmon.

What began as a 4/20 experiment has become a permanent menu item. Rosenberg’s Bagels owner Josh Pollack told Grub Street that rather than the crazy render-you-useless high that comes from, say pot cookies or brownies, the cured salmon gives a “nice, mellow high.”

While the legalities are still being worked out (in NYC, you can’t sell packaged goods with over 10 milligrams of activated THC, and Pollack is having trouble getting the concentration consistent), rest assured that, next time you’re Stateside, you can totally have the munchies while you’re munching on a bagel.
