The legendary food exhibition returns to Australia's South.
Tasmania is renowned as one of Australia’s gastronomic hotspots, a distinction celebrated each year by The Taste of Tasmania. This year the festival marks its 30th anniversary and promises to be the biggest and best yet. Headline acts include master classes by more than 20 chefs, cooks and leading figures in the food and drink world, including Rodney Dunn of Agrarian Kitchen, Matthew Evans from Fat Pig Farm and the Gourmet Farmer TV series, and Oskar Rossi and Federica Andrisani of Hobart bistro Fico to name but a few.
A lively mix of stallholders right on Hobart’s waterfront will offer the finest Tasmanian food and drink – from distilleries, breweries and wineries to cheesemakers and produce providores. The street-food, meanwhile, is a more globetrotting offering, with flavours ranging from the Caribbean to Asia and Africa.
Live music by some of Australia’s best party bands will be played throughout the event, and the children and families program will be humming with free activities for all the family. The event runs from 28 December to 3 January.
