Want an alarm clock that wakes you up with the smell of coffee?

delicious.

The hand that giveth really is the hand that taketh.

There’s an awesome new alarm clock wakes you up with soft tinkle sounds and a fresh cup of coffee.

The Barisieur was invented by British designer Josh Renouf and basically sits a beautiful bespoke timber creation on top of an old-school style alarm clock.

Rather than blaring sounds, the noise component is just stainless steel ball bearing tinkling against the glass beaker as the induction heater boils the water, which then makes a drip-filter coffee.

It’s kind of giving up Back to the Future vibes (remember Doc’s crazy breakfast set up?) but slick design is more modern-day Mad Men, with timber finishes.

The clever design incorporates a vial of milk, and has a little hidden drawer for your sugar and coffee stash, too.

The product isn’t available for retail just yet, but you can register your interest, and expect to pay around $430 to $530 for the alarm clock of our dream.
