A great cocktail for dinner
This super easy martini makes entertaining fun. This is an edited extract from A Table for Friends: The Art of Cooking for Two or Twenty by Skye McAlpine (Bloomsbury, $49.99).
Ingredients (3)
- 700ml vodka
- A capful (1 tsp) vermouth
- Big, juicy green olives, to serve

1.Combine vodka with the vermouth in a large, clean glass bottle, shake and set in the freezer to chill of at least 30 minutes, or as long as you like: ready-made martini. The alcohol means it won’t freeze, so you can make it days, even weeks, in advance and have the bottle ready to go whenever you need. Serve in martini glasses with a big, juicy green olive.
