One of my all-time favourite drinks, this famous gin-based cocktail first made its appearance during the Prohibition Era at the Detroit Athletic Club. It packs a sharp, heady punch thanks to its alcohol-heavy ingredient list. Garnish with maraschino cherries for a classic, sweet finish.
Ingredients (5)
- 30ml gin
- 30ml Chartreuse Green
- 30ml maraschino liqueur
- 30ml lime juice
- Maraschino cherries, to garnish

1.Fill a Nick and Nora glass with ice and chill in the freezer until ready to serve.

2.Combine gin, Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur and lime juice in a chilled cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake vigorously.

3.Strain cocktail into the prepared glass and garnish with two maraschino cherries to serve.
