Supernormal's Floating World cocktail

"I normally gravitate towards more spirit-forward drinks, but this play on the classic Japanese Slipper has a lightness and balance that works so well in the warmer weather. Japanese melon and Riverland dekopon mandarin liqueurs combine with fresh pressed lemon and a little Manzanilla sherry for salty, umami tang. So bright and fragrant."
Ingredients (7)
- 22.5ml Ota Shuzō Melon Liqueur
- 22.5ml Unico Zelo Mando
- 15ml high quality dry Sherry – we use Delgado Zuleta La Goya Manzanilla, but a fino would also suit
- 20ml lemon juice
- 5ml sugar syrup (1:1 ratio)
- 2 drops orange blossom Water
- Nasturtium leaf garnish

1.Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and seal, shaking until the exterior of the shaker is gently frosted, without over-diluting.

2.Taste for balance, and strain into a cocktail glass (we used a Nick & Nora).

3.Float a small nasturtium leaf on the top as garnish.
Recipe Notes
You will need a cocktail glass (martini, coupette or Nick & Nora) and a cocktail shaker. If using a two-piece Boston shaker, you will need a Hawthorn strainer
