Vietnamese dipping sauce (nuoc mam)

This classic Vietnamese dipping sauce is the perfect way to add umami to any savoury dish.
Ingredients (5)
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 3 bird’s-eye chillies, finely chopped
- 150ml fish sauce
- 2 tsp (10ml) white vinegar
- 140g caster sugar

1.Combine all ingredients with 200ml water in a medium bowl, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
