And it's the only five-star hotel outside Melbourne's centre.

Pack your bags, travellers and staycationers. On November 1, all-new, luxury, five-star Hotel Chadstone Melbourne will open the doors to its chic rooms.

The $130 million MGallery by Sofitel hotel will feature 250 rooms and suites, two ultra-luxe penthouses, a rooftop bar, a wellness retreat – complete with a day spa and yoga studio – and, for the food lovers reading along, Pastore restaurant from Scott Pickett.

In a suburb known for its style-savvy residents, the 12-storey hotel forms a stylish nod to its fashion-centric home – 17km outside of Melbourne’s CBD.

Chadstone Director Fiona Mackenzie has said, “Hotel Chadstone will offer visitors and guests luxurious experiences, from the finest cuisine, to our world-class spa and wellness retreat, to elegantly designed rooms, spacious suites or penthouses, which offer the ultimate rooftop escape.”

Guests can lounge by the rooftop pool, which afford recliners with panoramic views of Melbourne’s skyline. Private cabanas are also available to those seeking reprieve. Altus, with its outdoor conservatory bar, is filled with natural light and offers sparkling views over Port Phillip Bay – if you can peel your eyes away from the seven-tier wine glass chandelier that hangs from Altus’ ceiling.
