And its ten-year anniversary is set to be a particularly delicious one.
Some food lovers have a nose for truffles so attuned they could likely compete with a truffle-hunting dog to detect the coveted tuber. If you’re one of these people, mark your calendars now. In 2020, a dedicated celebration of the distinctly earthy ingredient will return to Western Australia from 19-21 June.

The tenth annual Truffle Kerfuffle festival is an ideal to excuse to plan a winter escape to WA’s Southern Forests region, and eat all the truffle you can handle (or afford). The weekend-long celebration in Manjimup, the heart of Australian truffle country, is set to be filled with flavoursome feasts featuring freshly unearthed truffles, is set at Fonty’s Pool.

During the weekend, there’ll be truffle dogs showing off their skills, a competitive truffle hunt, fireside cooking sessions with acclaimed chefs, cool climate wines on hand, and an opportunity to meet the region’s farmers, producers, winemakers and food-loving community. And, the hosting region just so happens to be the most prolific truffle growing region in the Southern Hemisphere.

Over the past 10 years, the not-for-profit event has become a highlight on the gourmands’ annual event calendar
