The Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach has completed the first phase of its “sea-change”. Half of the 209 guest rooms have been completely re-imagined with a fresh, new look, reflective of the hotel’s beachside location. And the new-look Shutters Restaurant and Bar, located just off the lobby, has been dressed in fresh beachside blue greens, illuminated with the occasional sparkle of sunlight through the patterned white ceiling.

The Crown Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach opened in the early 1900s as The Oceanic. And the hotel is now returning to take its rightful place as one of Sydney’s leading luxury beachside hotels. All of the public spaces, including the light-soaked lobby and guest rooms like these, were designed by local Sydney company Studioaria – who specialise in luxurious residential design and high-end spas.

The iconic Sydney property, renowned for its sweeping ocean views and perfect position right on the edge of one of Sydney’s most beautiful patrolled beaches, is embracing fresh, natural finishes, spaces saturated with sunlight and a beach, surf and sky palette that beautifully complements the Coogee Beach location.

The dining options at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach are carved into three micro-hotspots. Beach dwellers will beeline for the open-air casual dining and entertainment area, the aptly named, Terrace. The social set will be instagramming at Kitchen, a formal space serving up seafood du jour. And for those seeking something a liiiiiittle more relaxed? There will also be a fun and casual Taqueria which dishes up Mexican classics like tacos, nachos and the tastiest guac you can possibly imagine. For a little bit of drama, there’s also Confessional, a private karaoke hide-away that’s ideal for late night renditions of your favourite belters.
