You’ll find The Eve Hotel at Sydney’s newest luxury precinct Wunderlich Lane, located on the corner of Cleveland and Baptist Street. Almost 10 years in the making, Wunderlich Lane has brought the southern end of Surry Hills back to life. The Eve Hotel has some pretty impressive neighbours within the precinct. Wunderlich Lane is home to the just-opened Greek restaurant, Olympus, as well as Regina La Pizzeria, Island Radio, Gelato Messina and Baptist St. Rec Club, with more to open this year.
Bar Julius is one of the jewels in The Eve Hotel crown. The European-styled bar boasts all-dining with an elevated menu that transitions from morning espressos and light breakfast to evening cocktails and bar snacks. For hotel guests, it’s the perfect spot for a light breakfast and pre- or post-dinner drinks.
Each of the hotels’ 102 guest rooms has a private balcony surrounded by greenery that makes guests feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city that sits at the hotel’s doorstop. Naturally, the interiors are contemporary and lush thanks to the rich fabrics and materials and deep and warm tonal palette throughout. The hotel’s design is the brainchild of SJB’s Adam Haddow, 360 Degrees’ Daniel Baffsky, and Interior Architect George Levissianis — a trio of forward-thinking creatives renowned for their ability to craft spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.
Make your way to the top floor to find a tropical oasis in the heart of the city. As far as iconic hotel pools in Australia go, Brisbane’s The Calile Hotel has long held the lead, but The Eve Hotel is going to give it a run for its money. Terracotta-coloured umbrellas and pool lounges pop against the light cream coloured poolside pavers, mosaic-tiled pool and lush green trees bordering the area. The cherry on top is The Eve Hotel logo tiled on the bottom of the pool in white that is sure to feature in most guests IG snaps.
Last, but not least, The Eve Hotel also welcomes Lottie to its rooftop space. A contemporary Mexican restaurant led by esteemed hospitality operators, Liquid & Larder. The rooftop restaurant exudes a chill, vacay-vibe while offering stunning views of the city skyline. The menu is completely gluten-free and delicious. The pork jowl sweetened with coca cola is among the highlights. As are the custom Lottie tortilla pouches and goat-shaped salt dishes. They are functional, and cute to boot.
