Introducing the $35 million redevelopment and rebrand of Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa – now known as JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa.
First look inside the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa
The Queensland border is open – what are you waiting for? We all know that the Gold Coast’s dining scene now rivals Sydney and Melbourne, but did you know that one of the hottest hotels in the country is about to open? Well, reopen to be precise.
The Rooms
The new-look 223-room luxury hotel is set to reopen in December and we couldn’t be more excited about the redesign of the iconic property. The resort and spa collaborated with Australian design studio, DBI, to create a lavish space that draws inspiration from the coast and the hinterland surrounds.
The Library
From the moment you step into the lobby, you have the immediate sense of being transported into the lush green hinterland – with its earthy tones, timber veneer finishes and canopy of greenery.
The Dining
The spacious guestrooms and suites reflect the urban, beachside context, with light blues and greys creating a sanctuary-like feel, complimented by the natural timbers, fluted glass and locally sourced stone.
Reopening in December
Peering out over the glittering lagoon pools to the ocean beyond, we’re very thankful that Queensland’s borders are open because a hotel this tranquil and serene might just be the happy ending that 2020 needs.
