James Street may sit within Brisbane’s lively Fortitude Valley, but the strip of boutiques, restaurants and (now) slick hotels is a far cry from the nightclub precinct down the road. James Street’s latest resident is The Calile, a hotel set to open its doors in mid-September that is as design-savvy as the designer stores it neighbours.

The Calile Hotel is the latest addition to the growing brood of the TFE Hotels Collection group. It sits within a complex of much lauded restaurants, homewares and fashion boutiques and cafes, and is comprised of 175 guest rooms, including nine suites and two premier suites. The hotel is the latest addition to the booming James Street precinct, which sits on the fringe of Fortitude Valley, nestled into riverside New Farm. The development of the strip has received ample attention, and construction has taken hostage of the arena for much of the year.

Each room comes equipped with all the bells and whistles you would expect from a boutique stay. Most rooms come adorned with individual balconies and terraces, and feature Chromecast and Bluetooth soundbar, automated blackout blinds, Grown Alchemist amenities, locally curated minibar, 55” UHD television and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The amenities to The Calile are just as impressive as the pastel-hued suites inside. There’s a swimming pool, fitness centre, day spa, restaurant Hellenika, and a lobby bar to indulge at. Essentially you don’t have to leave the compound (or the street for that matter) for the length of your stay.
