Melbourne’s first luxury lifestyle hotel
Described as “the rebel between the streets”, the boldly designed 408 Flinders Lane property will be home to 294 stylish guest rooms and 29 suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with skyline views, as well as four new restaurants and bars, including inspired eats at Lollo, under the direction of Adam D’Sylva; small bites and bespoke cocktails at cocktail bar Curious, which boasts a cocoon-inspired space with chic laneway entrance; intimate Japanese restaurant Warabi, which is set to open in May; and cafe-come-wine-bar Culprit – also set for a May opening – which adds a twist to Melbourne’s café culture with floor-to-ceiling charcuterie display and a Vermouth tasting tray.
Iconic laneway culture and chic interiors
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne’s eclectic dining and edgy fashion district at 408 Flinders Lane, W Melbourne brings to life Melbourne’s iconic laneway culture and emerging music scene. Two epic new packages will allow guests to immerse themselves completely in the W Melbourne experience. The 24/7 Rebels package includes $100 credit when booking a Fabulous Room, Mega Room or Spectacular Studio. For those looking to live a little larger, that credit doubles when booking one of the hotel’s highly coveted suites.
Eclectic dining and swoon-worthy views
As well as 294 guest rooms and 29 suites, Melbourne’s newest luxury lifestyle hotel is set to house an uber-luxe Extreme WOW Suite with an enormous 40 square metre balcony offering views of the Yarra River. Level 14 is destined to become a favourite for guests. It will be home to WET, comprising a poolside bar, indoor pool set beneath a lavish golden roof and DJ booth, all offering swoon-worthy views of the Melbourne city skyline.
Inspired by Melbourne’s streetscapes
Melbourne locals and visitors can also expect ultra-modern conference, meetings and event spaces, including a 426 square metre pillarless ballroom flooded with natural light known as the Great Room, which is sure to become a favourite for chic CBD weddings and events.
Reflecting the city’s history and culture
W Hotels are renowned for their iconic “make any request a reality” philosophy, which promises to bring guests’ dreams to life. From backstage passes to sold-out gigs, to unattainable tables at the city’s most coveted restaurant and even meet-and-greets with their chefs, the hotel’s W Insider is said to hold the secret keys to the city.
Endless possibilities await
Inspired by the contrasts of the city, W Melbourne invites guests to unearth the unique personality of each new space. “It was a natural choice for us to launch our second W hotel in Australia in one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities,” said Sean Hunt, Area Vice President, Marriott International. “With its bold style, energising nightlife and great appetite for what’s new and next, Melbourne is a brilliant new addition to our luxury portfolio, and solidifies our confidence in the travel recovery here in Australia.”
