We're completely on board.

Sydneysiders can now hire motorised private picnic boats, just in time for summer.

The adorable, oh-so-instagrammable GoBoats have been available in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Canberra and Melbourne since 2014, and now they’ve finally launched in Sydney.

Made from recycled PET bottles and timber, the charming, nautically themed boats are available to hire from Cabarita Point for voyages along the Parramatta River. They’re pet-friendly too, so you can bring your furbaby and/or doggo along for the ride.

Even better? Because they’re powered by a simple, speed limited electric motor, there’s no need for a boat license.

The Danish-designed boats feature a zero-emissions motor and come with all the safety equipment you’ll need, all you have to do is pack your favourite picnic dishes and summer sips, and you’re golden. They even have eskies available to hire.

Each one fits up to eight people, and you can book packages from one hour ($129) through to six hours ($519) depending on how long you feel like staying on the high seas.
