Beachfront luxury
The ultra-luxe beachfront property stretches across 22-hectares of unspoiled tropical landscapes. Hidden among the rich rainforest and untouched coastline, the exclusive all-villa resort boasts 105 luxurious free-standing treehouses, as well as ocean-facing villas perched in the enviable cliffside position, each one flanked by trees. All of the rooms have been designed for indoor and outdoor living with spectacular views of the Pacific Coast.
Breathtaking views
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the ‘guardian’ of the resort, an ancient Higuera tree, as well as positively breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Open-air, outdoor living spaces abound and a glistening black pool, mirrors the reflection of Higuera’s leafy canopy. The outdoor arrivals lounge is said to be reminiscent of the open porches of traditional Mexican haciendas, with the spacious outdoor living areas furnished with cosy woven settees and cradling rocking chairs crafted from tropical Mexican woods, such as Parota and Teak.
Sustainable design
was thoughtfully planned, utilising intelligent and resource-efficient architecture as well as sustainable practices to blend with the nature and honour the resort’s commitment to local communities. They even consulted botany experts throughout the design process, to ensure that they were preserving the land, as well respecting the historic and ecological significance of the natural habitat.
Immersive experience
Designed as a completely immersive experience for guests, the resort embraces all elements of its surrounds, from the ocean to volcanic mountains. Open structures capture natural light, and reimagine traditional Mexican design elements, including pitched roofs with large overhangs and earthen walls that emerge from the ground, designed to have minimal visual impact.
Holistic architecture
The all-villa resort boasts 105 luxurious standalone treehouses and ocean-facing villas, which feature holistic interior and exterior elements such as private plunge pools and terraces, floor to ceiling windows, glass walls and expansive, ultra-luxurious bathrooms.
Expansive views
The floors, walls, and ceilings in the Treehouses are all radically consistent in the local Cumaru wood to heighten the impression of living lightly in the canopy, disconnected and one with nature. In contrast, the Cliff Villas, built on the volcanic land set upon the mountain top, feature concrete floors and high, sky-lit ceilings above the heavy stone walls and wooden built-ins in Cumaru with a raw finish.
Exclusive address
One&Only Mandarina will also be home to the ultra-luxurious Villa One, the lavish One&Only exclusive private resort experience, which is set to stretch over 1,747 m 2 and boasting three bedrooms, infinity pool, private spa and gym, full screen cinema, wine cellar and generous outdoor dining terrace.
Epicurean delights
The resort’s signature restaurant Carao will provide guests with an innovative epicurean experience as transportive as the destination itself. Created in partnership with internationally acclaimed Mexican Chef Enrique Olvera –– the chef and owner behind the award-winning Pujol in Mexico City and Cosme in New York City –– Carao is poised to become an incredibly sought-after dining destination. Expect modern yet authentic Mexican cuisine that celebrates the very pinnacle of regional flavours in a relaxed and elegant coastal atmosphere.
Gourmet experiences
The menu showcases reinvented starters like Horse Mackerel Ceviche with soybean germ and cucumber, alongside a wide variety of plant-focused dishes such as Coconut Tamal with turnip, mole verde and purslane. Main selections include Aged Whole Fish Zarandeado-style, a regional cooking method using a marinade of dried chile paste and slow-roasted over hot coals, Catch of the Day fillet with sweet chard and plantain puree, alongside larger seafood-focused dishes such Octopus served with celeriac, coconut and garlic stems. As for beverages, expect to sip mezcals, tequilas, artisanal agave and other fine spirits alongside your epicurean delights, there’s also a whole host of Mexican beers and a curated international and local wine list on offer.
Transformative wellness
