While London and New York may lead the way when it comes to top dining destinations, it seems that Indonesia isn’t lagging far behind. Bali has become a mainstay of must-visit restaurants, with another fine dining favourite making its debut on the island. Upscale Japanese venture Sake no Hana of Hakkasan Group may be best known in London but the eatery has just made a home for itself on the limestone cliffs of Uluwatu as a part of the expansive new OMNIA day club. The restaurant rests inside an open-air wooden lattice frame that was designed by award-winning architects Rockwell Group and WOHA, and perching above the surrounding club with views out onto the surrounding ocean. It’s the first time the brand has expanded beyond Mayfair, but it won’t be the last with Sake no Hana Jakarta en route for 2018. Sake no Hana’s menu has been created according to the principle of ‘shun’ – the moment of perfection when everything is at its peak. Dishes have been designed by head chef Hideki Hiwatashi, inspired by traditional Japanese cuisine, with a casual spin with seafood by far the restaurant’s specialty. Sake no Hana Uluwatu Jl.
