We're going on an adventure!
As if The Lord of the Rings fans weren’t spoiled enough this year – here’s looking at you The Power of the Rings – Airbnb have just announced that for the first time ever fans can now book an overnight stay at the iconic Hobbiton Movie Set in New Zealand.

That’s right, you can spend the night in the very spot The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed. The Hobbiton Movie Set sits on a 2,500 acre working farm in the picturesque Waikato region. Think rolling green hills and pristine farmland, as if it was plucked straight from the pages of R. R. Tolkien’s pages.

The owner of the property, Russell Alexander, is opening the property to guests to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Alexander will host three individual two-night stays for up to four guests at just NZD $10 per night. Yes, you read that right. That very low price is courtesy of Airbnb.

You’ll have exclusive access to 44 Hobbit Holes, The Millhouse, The Green Dragon Inn and other Middle Earth locations you’ve seen on the big screen. Also included in the package is an afternoon tea set up in a Hobbit Hole, evening banquet in The Green Dragon Inn featuring beef and ale stew, whole roast chickens and plenty of ale and more.
Want in? You can request to book one of three overnight stays on December 14 from 10am NZDT. Stays will take place March 2-4, March 9-11 and March 16-18, 2023. For more details, head to airbnb.com/hobbiton
