From today, NSW residents can apply for another cash voucher, but this time it’s to spend on holiday accommodation.

Commencing this week, $50 Stay NSW vouchers will begin rolling out to all NSW residents aged 18 and over.

It’s part of a $250 million dollar ‘Stay NSW’ initiative aimed at reviving the state’s tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemic.

To help manage demand, the vouchers are being rolled out in stages from Monday February 21, with availability based on Local Government Area. All NSW residents will have access to the $50 Stay NSW vouchers by March 3.

Similarly to the NSW Dine and Discover vouchers, the Stay NSW accommodation vouchers can be spent on accommodation at participating businesses including hotels, caravan parks and camping grounds.

The big difference with the latest vouchers is that – unlike the Dine and Discover vouchers – you can pool them and share the cost of a stay with friends or family.

“People can pool the $50 Stay NSW Vouchers with relatives or mates, with no redemption limit. Apply as soon as you can so you can check-in somewhere special and check-out somewhere new.”

There are more than 1,200 Stay NSW businesses registered across the state so far, with more expected to register over the coming weeks.

The Stay NSW vouchers will be valid until October 9 2022.
