South Australia has reopened its borders to incoming interstate travellers from Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

The South Australian Government has reopened state borders from midnight on June 16th, allowing travellers from WA, NT and Tasmania to enter the state without being required to self-isolate for 14 days.

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall told media that his government was still considering whether to reopen the state’s borders with Queensland at this time, and that the government is “still concerned about New South Wales and Victoria.”

The South Australian government has previously announced that it expects to open borders with all states by July 20th.

The move is expected to increase inbound traveller numbers for South Australia, giving the local travel industry a much-needed boost post-COVID.
