Feeling lucky.
More than 750 of the most recognised and experienced travel influencers, journalists and experts from across the globe have cast their vote and named Lucky Bay in Western Australia’s Esperance as the world’s best beach.

The World’s 50 Best Beaches 2023, presented by Banana Boat, were ranked by industry insiders based on the five criteria: sheer untouched nature, remoteness, how swimmable it is, annual days of sunshine, and the average annual temperature.
Lucky Bay claimed the top spot thanks to its pristine snow-white sand, incredible turquoise water, minimal crowds, and did we mention that you’re most likely to spot a kangaroo on the beach as well?

It comes as no surprise to Aussies that Lucky Bay wasn’t the only beach Down Under to make the list. Queensland’s iconic Whitehaven Beach came in at number four with its 98.9% pure silica sand and picture-perfect waters. Western Australia is clearly Australia’s go-to state for glorious beaches as Turquoise Bay in Exmouth took the 17th spot and Little Hell Fire Bay in Esperance was ranked 28 out of 50.
