Australia will soon be home to it’s first-ever beer hotel, and that has to be the most brewtiful news we’ve ever heard.

Lager-than-life craft beer brand BrewDog announced this morning that it would be opening the country’s first-ever eco-friendly craft beer hotel.

The DogHouse Brisbane will cater to both human and canine guests. It will also be equipped with in-room draft beer taps, as well as beer fridges in the shower — and if loving shower beer is wrong, then we don’t want to be right.

The trailblazing brand already has a craft beer hotel in Cleveland, Ohio — which was named one of TIME magazine’s “Greatest Places on Earth” in 2019 — so beer lovers and Brissy locals alike can be incredibly hoptimistic about what’s to come.

The DogHouse Brisbane is the first step in an ambitious two-year blueprint for antipodean expansion, which includes the opening of a second BrewDog bar site in Brisbane and its first bar in Sydney, as well as bars in Melbourne, Perth and Auckland.

If you’re based in another Australian city and feeling a wee bit jealous of those cities right now, we have good news: the brewer has extended its pioneering crowdfunding initiative, Equity for Punks, until March 31st, confirming that if 500 Equity Punks join from the same city before the deadline is up, they will open a BrewDog bar there within the next three years.
