This is what magic tastes like.
Disney’s famous collection of parks might still be closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that hasn’t stopped them from bringing a little Disney magic to the world, in the form of recipe secrets for some of our favourite fried theme park treats.
The company has been sharing some of their most closely guarded secret recipes for fan favourite theme park treats like Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets and the sugar-dipped churro bites as part of their #DisneyMagicMoments series, dedicated to bringing a little bit of whimsy to everyone’s COVID-19 quarantine.
Topping the list of fan-favourites is fluffy fried treat Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets, which are normally available in Disneyland from New Orleans Square or at Disney World’s Port Orleans. The recipe looks relatively simple, presuming one can secure the required quantity of flour.
Also yielding gasps of excitement from Disney devotees everywhere is the the park’s famously sugar-dusted Churro Bites, which, in our humble opinion, is exactly what magic tastes like.
Die-hard Disney nerds have commented that the beignets seem to taste slightly different from the ones in the magic kingdom, as the recipe was apparently converted from the large batch recipe which is used in the parks.
