Or anything from Rockpool Dining Group for that matter.
Travel and eating tend to top the list when it comes to what people are most passionate about. And now there is a way to indulge both interests at once thanks to the latest initiative introduced by Qantas.
From today, the famed Australian airline’s Frequent Flyer program will be collaborating with longtime comrade Rockpool Dining Group on a new rewards scheme for fans of both food and travel. Qantas Frequent Flyer members can now use Qantas Points on their bill, and earn them at the same time when they dine out at any of Rockpool Dining Group’s 60 restaurants and bars across the country. This is the first time that a point system involving a national restaurant group has been introduced into the country.
It will allow members to use Qantas Points to cover the full cost of the bill. Alternatively they can choose to use 4,000 Qantas Points for each $20 of their transaction.
To kick off the start of the scheme, until May 31 members will also be able to earn double points across all Rockpool Dining Group venues. That’s everything from a special anniversary meal spent at Rockpool Bar & Grill, to a beer and burger combo grabbed at Burger Project.
The points system will work as follows:
Premium Dining: 4 Qantas Points per $1 spent (usually 2 Qantas Points per $1 spent)
Casual: 4 Qantas Points per $1 spent (usually 2 Qantas Points per $1 spent)
Fast Casual: 2 Qantas Points per $1 spent (usually 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent)
Qantas Frequent Flyer members with a Qantas Points-earning credit card can ‘triple dip’ on purchases at a Rockpool Dining Group restaurant. That way they can not only earning points on their bill, but also their card, and their reservation (as long as they make it via Qantas Restaurants).
Rewarding customer loyalty is at the forefront of the initiative says Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash. “It gives our valued customers even more incentive to visit any of our restaurants across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth,” he says.
Chef Neil Perry, Culinary Director of the group, agrees. “Qantas and I have many miles together under our belts and I’m thrilled we’re able to give our mutual customers a reward for their loyalty,” he comments.
More information on the point system can be found online.
