It’s not that holidaymakers needed an excuse to head to Noosa – the beachside town is a hotspot for those seeking sun and sand – but this summer they have a stunning new hotel and restaurant to check out.
This December, Elysium Noosa will open up on Hastings Street. The sophisticated new hotel has fully transformed what once was Sofitel Noosa. It will unveil 175 hotel rooms and suites, which have been fully reimagined and redesigned by Melbourne-based interior architecture and design studio, Mitchell & Eades. The new rooms ooze beachside luxury, embracing a neutral colour palette complemented with an abundance of natural textures, like rattan and linen.

All of the rooms within the hotel feature a balcony or terrace, so guests can make the most of the sun-soaked, seaside location. The pinnacle is the oceanfront Elysium Suite, featuring a private plunge pool and sweeping views. Prestige Suites overlook the pool towards Noosa’s famed Main Beach, while Poolside Junior Suites offer private cabanas for the ultimate seclusion.
For the wellness-minded travellers there’s the Wellness Suite, which offers a private infrared sauna, terrace spa and bespoke concierge service to support personalised wellness rituals – from reformer pilates and Peloton workouts to peaceful yoga practice.

Travellers will also be treated to a new dining offering within the hotel. Celebrated restaurateurs Alessandro and Anna Pavoni (Cibara, Vineria Luisa, Postino Osteria) are heading north from NSW and will debut their first interstate venue. The duo will be bringing their award-winning Italian dining experience, Cibaria, to Noosa, as well as a coastal-inspired Bar Capri. Guests can expect dishes that pay homage to Italy’s diverse dining culture. Taking cues from its previous venues Cibaria will be plating up antipasti, pasta dishes and grilled meats.

“This transformation is far more than a rebrand,” says Elysium Noosa General Manager, Mark Wilkinson. “It’s a landmark evolution of one of Noosa’s most treasured hotels, a true legacy for the region.”
We’re predicting Noosa is going to be the place to be this summer (even more so than usually, that is).
