Croissants, cheese and fine wine are all on the menu.
With the price of flights on the rise, who can afford to fly to Paris to get a taste of authentic French food? Thankfully, Sydneysiders won’t have to. Come July, Bastille Festival will return to Sydney’s stunning harbour for its tenth anniversary.
More than 70 stalls will take over The Rocks, The Overseas Passenger Terminal, East Circular Quay, Customs House and Quay Quarter Lanes for a full French affair. Le stalls will be plating up traditional dishes from escargot, sweet and savoury crepes, raclette, macarons, croissants, saucisson, flammkuchen, and, of course, a massive selection of cheeses. Oui, oui!

If you’re keen to sample a drop of French vino, there will be eight French wine bars that will be pouring wine from some of the finest wine-making regions of France. Think bottles imported from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Cotes du Rhone, Loire, Champagne and Provence. Wine and bubbles not your bag? There’ll also be a bar dedicated to French craft beer.
Get ready to say bonjour to some seriously delicious French bites.
Bastille Festival will take place from 13-16 July. For more information, visit bastillefestival.com.au
