A Golden Girls dining experience has just popped up in Beverly Hills

Tell your friends and your confidantes.

Long before Pretty Little Liars, Girls and Sex & The City, there were The Golden Girls. Rose, Blanche, Sophia and Dorothy were the original girl squad.

Despite the fact that the long-running series has been off the air for some thirty years, just a few bars of ‘Thank you for being a friend’ can be enough to make many 80s and 90s babies dissolve into a puddle of nostalgia.

Now, fans of the series can completely immerse themselves in The Golden Girls experience, courtesy of The Golden Girls Pop-up Kitchen, a new dining experience in Beverly Hills.

The Golden Girls Pop-up Kitchen is a detailed, custom dining experience, inspired by the girls’ favourite iconic Miami hangout.

The menu, created by Executive Chef Royce Burke of Dino’s Famous Chicken, Secret Lasagna and Wyldefire Hot Sauce, features a selection of Golden Girls inspired mains, including Sophia’s Lasagna Alforno, the Bacon Lettuce Potato Sandwich (Say It Fast) with fries, and The Lanai, a “Miami Style” Cuban Sandwich.

Naturally, there’ll be plenty of cheesecake and Southern Belle libations like Devereaux’s Delight, and a generous serving of nostalgia on offer. There’s even exclusive The Golden Girls Kitchen merchandise available, so you can keep the nostalgic vibes going at home.

Each ticket includes a 90-minute reservation, your choice of a Golden Main and a slice of cheesecake, as well as additional sides, St Olaf sweets and beverages.

The event will be popping up in more cities later this year, including New York, San Francisco, Miami and Chicago.

Currently, there aren’t any plans for a Sydney pop-up, so for the time being, we’ll all have to content ourselves with binge-watching reruns and testing out Dorothy-level burns on our housemates. And if all else fails, you can always treat yourself to a Titanic door-shaped pool float and a Schitt’s Creek cruise.
