Cool off at London’s Hyde Park Garden restaurant this summer, lead by Heston Blumenthal

Hyde Park Garden

A sea of wildflowers, regular views of the Household Cavalry and a menu curated by the Dinner by Heston Blumenthal team might sound too British to be true, yet this is precisely what awaits at the Hyde Park Garden by the Mandarin Oriental.

After a leisurely promenade through the park and Mandarin Oriental, guests will reach an exclusive and quintessentially English garden hosting a dream-like fine-dining hospitality destination for the summer.

Hyde Park Garden

From May 10 until September 2023, Hyde Park Garden will be the perfect place to cool off and dive deep into the old-world garden parties of years gone by. Designed to blend into the natural backdrop, Hyde Park Garden reflects the views of the royal park and provides an idyllic setting for lunches, a summer spritz or an early evening snack under the shade of the surrounding trees.

The talents behind Dinner by Heston Blumenthal have curated a menu with its roots firmly in the UK, with field trips to Kew Garden and Hampton Court inspiring the botanicals that the menu revolves around.

Native mustard and mint and used in the pea and ham hock salad; gardener’s crop relish; native lobster with pickled lemon; and a selection of indigenous oysters adorned with pretty English flowers will all feature on the lunch menu. During the evening guests can enjoy a selection of sharing plates with the best of British charcuterie and cheese boards.

English wines will take centre stage, with hand-selected vineyards from Hampshire to Kent featuring on the menu. The cocktail list, devised by Mandarin Oriental’s leading mixologists, will feature new riffs on classic spritzes as well as signature cocktails the ‘Rose Garden’ and ‘Rosemary Margarita’ inspired by neighbouring Hyde Park.

If that wasn’t enough, the hotel has joined forces with Hackett Saville Row to design bespoke staff uniforms, and tableware ceramics have been designed by London-based ceramicist Reiko Kaneko.
