Before the weather heats up again, step inside an ice cave then soak in these steamy hot springs on the Mornington Peninsula.
Hoping to make the most of winter’s last weekends? A road trip to Mornington Peninsula’s own hot springs might be the pre-spring cleanse you never knew you needed.
This weekend, Victoria’s Peninsula Hot Springs wellness and relaxation-oriented destination will reveal seven new hot spring pools, two cold plunge pools, an Australian-first -10°C ice cave, a -25°C deep-freeze and unique sauna experience. Few.

Based on the theory of cryotherapy, the aptly named ‘fire and ice’ treatment – during which guests can hop between saunas, cold plunge pools, hot springs and ice caves – is thought to help sweat out toxins and cleanse the skin, among other benefits.
As for post-dip dining options, a three-acre terraced garden will soon become an abundant vegetable patch, providing fresh, organic produce for the on-site eateries – including the Bath House café, Spa Dreaming Centre café, and the soon-to-launch Amphitheatre café. Plans for an underground mushroom cave are also underway.
