Road travel's for suckers – here's how New Yorkers are setting their sights higher.
Following NASA’s news that it will be opening the Space Station to those who can afford to get there, Uber has announced that NYC residents can now forgo their city’s busy streets and hover above it all.
Uber Copter will soon be available to Uber Rewards members who’ve hit Platinum and Diamond membership levels.
Naturally, the costs will not be as user-friendly as road travel – yet, the traffic-free journey with a view over the Big Apple will cost, on average, between $200 and $225 American Dollars.
Unlike booking an on-road Uber vehicle, however, the Uber Copter will have a set route, which will last less than 10 minutes. Each flight is expected to convey up to five passengers.
In Australia, Uber recently released its unique underwater voyage via the ScUber, which has already seen multiple riders get up-close with the Great Barrier Reef.
