Another day, and another viral food trend is taking over TikTok. Currently, the talk of TikTok is the pickle sandwich, and it’s all thanks to food influencer @gabbyparmesan. The Long Island-local posted a TikTok of Seven Brothers Gourmet’s pickle sandwich, which has now been viewed more than 4.3 million times.

So what makes this pickle sandwich so special? 

Seven Brothers Gourmet’s pickle sandwich redefines pickle sandwiches. You’d be wrong to think that a pickle sandwich from Seven Brothers Gourmet consists of just pickles between two slices of bread. A pickle sandwich from Seven Brothers Gourmet is a whole pickle sliced down the middle, with the two halves substituting the two sides of a bread bun. Each side of the pickle is hollowed out and packed with sandwich fillings, like turkey, bacon, provolone, lettuce and more. 

While Seven Brothers Gourmet have had this viral sandwich on the menu since January, it’s only been in the last couple months when things really took off. Now the Long Island deli is selling up to 250 pickle sandwiches a day and, so as not to interrupt service to regular customers, has a wait line dedicated to those ordering pickle sandwiches. This sandwich has become quite a big dill.
