Find your hideaway, all without leaving Main Beach.
Forget the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise, QT Hotels and Resorts has just launched qtQT, an urban rooftop oasis with six luxury cabins that transports guests into a contemporary coastal paradise without having to leave the strip.
Creating an exclusive destination in the hotel itself, the six cabins sit aside the terrace and the landing, with access limited to guests of the qtQT experience. Each cabin features a private balcony, set within a tropical green garden which captures a golden sunset that will hypnotise you with every ray.

Venturing inside, each cabin has its own unique character and is designed and fitted in partnership with the brand’s long-standing collaborator and award-winning designer Nic Graham. You’ll see wooden panels, resort-style art, natural textures, earth tones and lavish local linens, all making you question whether you’re actually in the hinterland instead.
The ethos behind qtQT is to ‘take 10 and find your zen’, and the selection of items in each cabin lives true to that message. You’ll find luxe neighbourhood brands, including minimalist robes and linen from I Love Linen in Burleigh, natural and organic Saya Skincare amenities from Noosa and Drift Candles from Currumbin that complete the coastal chic atmosphere.

True to QT’s brand, you’ll also find Dyson styling tools to jazz you up after a day at the beach, a Nespresso coffee machine to make the morning easier and a mini bar that rivals some restaurant wine lists. But the highlight of the in-room offering has to be the complimentary homemade treats, including bliss balls and biscuits, perfect for maximising that zen.
Of course, you might be wondering what to do if you ever get around to leaving your harmonious abode. Aside from QT Gold Coast’s existing poolside precinct (where I can be found lounging on a cabana while responding to emails), qtQT has a range of curated experiences that are up for first dibs by guests.
From cocktail mixology and whisky tasting to an exclusive terraced eating area where a whole suite of culinary experiences meets al fresco dining; bespoke feasts and central communal tables emulate the feeling of home away from home. Follow this up with star-gazing by the firepit, and you’ve got yourself your own little slice of paradise.

The whole qtQT experience is designed for guests to choose whether they want to unwind and unplug on a solo escape or book all six cabins exclusively for a group adventure where they can meditate, celebrate and everything in between. qtQT is the destination for both sides of the travel enthusiast coin – whether you choose to disconnect from the world, or lean into all the Gold Coast has to offer.
The tiny cabins are open for bookings from December 1, QT Gold Coast’s 297 rooms have also been refurbished. Find your zen here.
