Budget airline Scoot has announced a host of new routes and increased services to North Asia, as travellers look to return to their favourite pre-pandemic holiday spots. 

From October 16, Scoot will launch twice-weekly flights into Indonesia’s Lombok and Makassar airports, while flights to Yogyakarta and Pekanbaru will resume from October 15. The addition of these new routes sees the Singapore-based airline’s offering expand to eight Indonesian locations.

Thanks to easing border restrictions, Scoot is also resuming and increasing its flight offerings across North Asia, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China.

From the end of October, the airline will bump up the number of its weekly flights to Osaka and Jeju, plus add extra Singapore-Taipei-Tokyo, Singapore-Taipei-Seoul and Singapore-Taipei-Sapporo flights. Scoot has already resumed and increased its flights to Fuzhou and Nanjing, with flights into Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Wuhan and Tianjin also set to return in October.

If that’s not enough for you, the affordable airline has recently extended its partnership with The Pokémon Company, which means more opportunities to jump on the popular Pokémon Air Adventures program. From November, Scoot’s iconic Pikachu Jet will operate over three fixed routes each month; Singapore-Tokyo, Singapore-Taipei-Tokyo and Singapore-Taipei-Seoul.
