Sophie Ellis-Bextor is having a moment thanks to what we’re referring to as the Saltburn Effect. Now the undisputed queen of dancefloor slayings and killer eyeshadow has been announced as the headline act for the Sydney Mardi Gras Bondi Beach Party.
Known for her blend of disco pop and electronica, Ellis-Bextor will bring her distinctive sound to the sands of Bondi Beach, joining a stellar line-up of international and local artists.

Celebrating its resurgence, Murder on the Dancefloor will be a highlight of Ellis-Bextor’s Bondi Beach Party set. Over twenty years since its release, the song has recently climbed back to the top of the charts, becoming a viral sensation, amassing millions of streams and topping Spotify’s Viral 50 chart in the U.S.
