Over-packers, take note.

If you like to travel with just carry-on luggage but feel like you can never fit enough outfits into the small suitcase then the ‘333 Method’ is for you.

The concept of this packing rule is that you choose three tops, three bottoms, and three pairs of shoes to create more than a dozen outfit looks that fit easily into your carry-on. Endless videos of the ‘333 Method’ can be found on Instagram and TikTok, where influencers show how many outfits they make from their nine items of clothing.

Influencer Rachel Spencer made this trend explode over social media. In her videos, Spencer manages to pull off more than 20 different styled outfits with her items of clothing. There are some exceptions to the rule. Hats, belts and jewellery are not included in the base wardrobe of the 333 Method and can be packed as extras to help accessorise fits.

The idea of the ‘333 Method’ is to eliminate any anxiety that you may suffer when packing while also ensuring you’re travelling light while looking stylish. It also leaves room in your bag for any holiday purchases or a couple of special items like a fancy dress for dinners or a linen dress if you’re travelling in the summer.

So if you’re a serial over-packer and want to change your ways, try the ‘333 Method’, you’ll be save time, space and money (if you had to pay for a checked-in bag).
