Do you dream of crystal blue waters, white sand beaches and overwater villas? Then Vanuatu has your name written all over it. A short 3.5 hour flight from Sydney, this idyllic island is a must for a drop and flop holiday. Thanks to Virgin Australia, getting there just got a whole lot easier and more affordable.

The Aussie airline has just announced that it will be resuming its popular direct service between Australia and Vanuatu. To celebrate take off, Virgin Australia return fares are currently on sale from $459 (Economy Lite). That’s right, for just under $500 you can get yourself a ticket to paradise.

This is just the latest step for Virgin Australia as it rebuilds its short-haul international network and comes after services to Samoa and a brand new Gold Coast to Bali route took off this month.

Direct services from Brisbane to Port Vila will operate on the airline’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft up to five times a week in peak periods, and up to three times weekly in off peaks.
