The most quiet and comfy seating option has been confirmed.

Let’s face it, plane travel isn’t the most comfortable experience but it is a generally unavoidable one in this day and age. But there is a way to make your plane ride more comfortable, and that’s by choosing the right seat.

While arguably, economy may be no comparison to the frills of business class when it comes to flying, it has been proven some seats remain better than others in cattle class.

Recently Ron Soret, the Vice President of US company AERIA Luxury Interiors (an aircraft interiors specialist) told Stylist that picking certain seats in the cabin can promise a comfier ride for passengers.

His tip? Stick to the front. “The front part of the cabin is typically the most comfortable,” he says. “Turbulence will be felt throughout the airplane but it is milder in the forward part.” This is due in part to sitting close to the wings of a plane. They help to balance during transit, so if you’re sitting near them you should experience less movement than passengers positioned further away.

There’s also the noise factor to consider, particularly if you plan on getting some sleep. “Areas aft (near the back) of the engine exhaust are the noisier part of the cabin, so, again, sit near the front.”
