Dreaming of a white Christmas?
Thought the Black Star watermelon cake couldn’t get any better? Think again. For the festive season, the pastry prodigies have released a limited run white strawberry watermelon cake and seriously, it’s so pretty.
White strawberries, not to be confused with under-ripe strawberries, are missing a protein that leaves their flesh white as snow and their seeds as red a Rudolph’s nose.

These beauties are teamed with piped rose and strawberry-scented cream, layers of fresh watermelon and chewy almond dacquoise. A final flourish of hand-carved snowflakes and a dusting of sugar makes the cutest little Christmas cake we’ve seen this side of the yule log.
The other half of the Christmas range is the Gingerbread Chiffon Cake, available for the entire month of December. The super-fluffy chiffon cake is spiked with gingerbread spices and layers of molasses buttercream finished with a white chocolate and lemon drizzle, mini ginger ninjas and handmade white and strawberry chocolate candy canes.

The four portion White Strawberry Watermelon Cake will be available for pre-order from November 29, with collection available from all stores on December 23 and 24. ($80)
The 12 portion Gingerbread Chiffon Cake is available through all of December, pre-order from November 29, with collection available in store from December 1 until December 24. ($70)
