Pull on your finest flared trousers and fringed jackets, a new 70’s-inspired dive bar has opened its doors on Enmore Road.
Taking over from Cottonmouth Records is new drinking saloon, the Enmore Country Club. The venue is described as a 70’s-inspired dive bar that combines a country club aesthetic with ‘flamboyant cowboy flair’. If you can’t imagine that, think walnut timber cladded walls, patterned vintage wallpaper and a handmade resin bar top.
Behind the venue are Inner West hospo heroes Dan McBride and Dynn Szmulewicz from The Little Guy in Glebe, The Sunshine Inn in Redfern and the Golden Gully in Leichhardt (now closed).

The drinks list will take you back to the disco era with retro cocktails including a boozy Cherry Cola that’s handcrafted in house. The menu will also feature local beers and an ever-changing natural wine list that’s projected on the walls.
The Enmore Country Club opens at 182 Enmore Road, Enmore on January 17. For more details or to check out their gloriously lo-fi website, head to enmorecountryclub.com.
