And a 6 litre coffee to wash it down.
If you thought the cronut was out of control, wait until you see this 1.2 kilogram monster from Greenace cafe, La Dorée.
The brainchild of baker-owners of a halal French patisserie La Dorée, Naaila and Khaled. Based in Sydney’s south west, La Dorée went viral when the croissant debuted earlier this year for its insane size, as well as the six-litre coffee served alongside it.
Yes, the coffee is six litres. Don’t act like you’re not tempted.
After seeing the mammoth croissant and coffee trend making the rounds in Europe, Naalia and Khaled jumped on the bandwagon. But just because the croissant is super-sized, doesn’t mean it isn’t made with the same love and care required of creating really good pastries.

The croissant takes three days to create, and is made using flour, salt, sugar, and a lot of butter. Croissants of this size require one day to mix, one day for fragmentation and one day for elimination. According to the La Dorée customers, it’s well worth being patient.
At the moment the bakers are selling between 10 to 15 croissants per week, and customers must request them three days in advance.
La Dorée is located at 5/173 Waterloo Rd, Greenacre. For more details follow the bakery at @ladoree_patisserie.
