Pace yourself – you're going to want to try all of them.
Some people go to the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the nostalgia. Some go for the attractions. There are those who want to stock up on showbags, and the adrenaline junkies are all about the rides. It’s no surprise that team delicious. is in it for the food. From scoffing fried foods on sticks to trying viral TikTok creations in real life, we’ve rounded up the best eats at the Show.
Mac ‘n’ cheese on a stick

It’s not the Easter Show without consuming at least one thing on a stick. This is our pick – the perfect marriage of cheesy pasta with the crispy bits that everyone loves most about mac ‘n’ cheese, but in stick form, so you can walk and eat at will.
Mr Shish

Those who have a large appetite will want to see how it fares against Mr Shish’s 15-inch (38cm) kebab. It’s got all the things you love about a kebab – tender meat, grilled vegies and lots of spices – but in supersized form.
Toastie Boy
We know the show is an exxy day out, but the $3 toasties at Toastie Boy are kind on your budget without scrimping on flavour. The side of marinara sauce for dunking can attest to that.
Chimnutz
For those who have been salivating over Chimnutz’s viral stuffed chimney cakes and doughnut cones on Instagram but haven’t been able to fly to Melbourne to try them, this is your chance.
Churro dog

What’s better than a crispy, deep fried, sugar-coated churro? One that comes in a brioche finger bun and loaded with sweet toppings including ice cream, nuts, Oreos, MnMs and chocolate sauce from Waffle Popz & Churros.
Duo Duo fried ice cream
The new Honky Tonk bar in the The Stables has a Nashville vibe, with a selection of US craft beers, Burger Head burgers, Smokin’ Gringos’ birria tacos and, best of all, fried ice cream from Duo Duo.
Firepop

Carnivore’s will make a beeline for Firepop’s signature Wagyu Cube menu, which highlights Australian BMS9+ wagyu beef. It’s seared, seasoned and, like the best eats at the Show, comes on a stick.
Tokyo Taco
Who says a taco has to be made with a tortilla? Tokyo Taco uses nori for its shells, and fillings include miso baked salmon, barbecue pulled pork, smokey soy chicken and braised jackfruit for our vegan friends. Don’t forget a side of fries, with a secret blend of Japanese and Mexican seasoning.
Fruity Poppin’

Kid yourself that these candied fruits on sticks count as part of your five a day. If you have the one-metre stick, that counts as two serves. Right?
CWA scones

It’s not new, it’s not gimmicky but by god, these are probably the best scones you’ll ever have. Apologies to your grandma. The Country Women’s Association has been a fixture of the Home and Lifestyle Pavilion for 75 years, raising money for rural women and families. People travel to the Show just to get their hands on one of these babies. While coeliacs miss out on the scones, this year, the CWA is offering a selection of gluten-free treats.
