The hole gang’s getting back together for a sweet ride across Australia.
Any road trip down the NSW South Coast is never complete without a stopover at the Berry Donut Van – fresh, hot cinnamon doughnuts that are always worth driving out of your way for. Now this famous hole foods business is hitting the road with an all-new travelling van that will appear at food festivals, music festivals and other major events across the country.
Credit: SuppliedWhile the flagship van will continue to welcome loyal doughnut lovers and hungry road-trippers passing through Berry, the new touring van is a nostalgic nod to the Donut Van’s origins. Before finding its permanent home in the picturesque country town of Berry in 1974, the original van roamed Australia’s streets, plying lucky neighbourhoods with made-to-order doughnuts. The new van brings a full-circle moment as pleasingly round and plump as a Berry Donut Van doughnut.

“For over fifty years, people have lined up in Berry for our hot cinnamon doughnuts, some travelling hours just for that first bite,” says Teresa Nazareth, Berry Donut Van owner. “With the launch of ‘The Berry Donut Van on Tour’, we’re returning to our roots with a modern, freshly built van, ready to share its charm and unforgettable doughnuts with people all across Australia.”
Crafted from the same 55-year-old recipe, every doughnut is made fresh on the spot: light and fluffy inside, golden and crisp outside, and generously dusted in that sweet signature cinnamon sugar blend.
Alongside the classic cinnamon doughnuts, the touring van will serve the full Berry Donut Van menu, including coffee, hot dogs, smoothies, milkshakes and pies. To find out where the Berry Donut Van will be rolling up to next, follow the van’s social channel on Instagram and Facebook.
