He’s already in the kitchen, but we can now exclusively reveal that ex-Gastro Park and Antipodean mastermind Grant King is to head up QT Sydney’s city-favourite Gowings Bar & Grill, the venue for this year’s delicious. Produce Awards.

After making the tough call to close the Antipodean Restaurant & Bar late last year, King has made the move to Gowings under the radar. Currently settling into the kitchen, a recent lunch did everything to confirm King is relishing the stalwart space, no doubt planning a fresh approach to the hotel’s restaurant menu.

A focus on produce-driven dishes (including those that are dairy-, gluten-, and even garlic-free) bringing in native ingredients will be order of the day, with new dishes expected to appear at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
