Whether you think it’s too early to see hot cross buns on shelves or not, one thing we can all agree on is that too much of a good thing can be wonderful. 

Enter: the Biscoff hot cross buns from Woolworths.

Coming to stores “soon” the new addition brings together the cinnamon-sweet spice of a traditional HCB with the festive gingery warmth of Biscoff – the Belgian biscuit and spread that appeared seemingly out of nowhere a few years ago with an established cult following.

Adelaide-based man with a phone Michael Jaimie got his mitts on a stash of the buns and proffered a quick review of the seasonal treat. “I’m not gonna lie, that’s pretty good,” as he admired the generous filling of Biscoff spread.

The Biscoff hot cross buns are the latest in a series of unconventional but delicious buns from Woolworths, which already includes Cadbury Caramilk, chocolate, fairy bread, and apple and cinnamon buns.

It’s not clear yet when the rollout will hit other Woolworths stores, so make sure you’ve got the butter ready.
