Yes, chef!
One of the most highly-anticipated and talked about series in years, season one of FX’s The Bear had hospitality workers and civilians alike shaking in their clogs and checking their clocks. As we followed Michelin-trained chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) battle his demons after inheriting his family-run Chicago sandwich shop, the tensions of grief, service, relationships, creditors and egos had us on the edges of our seats.
If the emotional crescendo of season one has left you jonesing for a well-cooked beef sandwich and more drama than you can poke a stick at (just don’t poke the bear), you’ll be delighted to trauma-bond over the trailer of The Bear season 2, which dropped in the early hours of Tuesday, May 16.

Opening appropriately with the whistle of a kettle about to blow, the grainy wide shots still pay homage to 1970s-era filmmaking, and close-ups of furrowed brows and sweat beads still abound but from the season 2 trailer, we’re offered a sense of hope that was hard to come by during the tumultuous first season.
Frustrations and laughter that will be all too familiar to anyone who has worked in a restaurant before, set the stage for the latest evolution of Carmy and his new and, perhaps, improved crew who have traded in their t-shirts for whites in the great experiment of transforming The Beef into The Bear.
The Bear Season 2 will land on July 19 in Australia on Disney+ with all 10 episodes available.
