The fashionista left no crumbs.

Avant-garde fashion designer JW Anderson has just debuted a cutesy Victoria sponge cake clutch at the nexus of art and food and when we tell you we are obsessed.

The Irish-born designer is best known for his absurdist approach to fashion, most notably as the mind behind Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic pigeon clutch in season two of …And Just Like That

The Victoria sponge bag was teased on Tiktok and X by user @highsnobiety and shows a generous triangle slice replicating layers of cream and strawberry jam, sandwiched between two blonde spongecakes and a dusting of icing sugar. Adorable.

As part of the JW Anderson spring/summer 2025 menswear range – which premiered in Milan this week – the Victoria sponge clutch is very on-theme for the designer, who has described his work as “irrational clothing” and this particular collection intentionally dream-like. We’re not sure about you, but a bag made of cake is certainly a dream for us.

It’s not the first time Anderson has been inspired by food for his designs – his stunning handbags have previously been disguised as rockmelons, oranges, lemons, and bananas.

While the bag is not yet available for retail, you can start saving your pennies now because an average clutch usually costs anywhere from $800 to $1500.
