The new range includes ready-made meals from Anna Polyviou, Silvia Colloca, Gary Mehigan and more.

Food delivery service Providoor has relaunched this week with a new owner and a throng of celebrity chefs behind it. At the helm is Rolling Stone Australia and The Brag managing director, Sam Benjamin. The delivery service was born of the dark days of Covid-closures as a means to connect customers with their favourite fine dining restaurants while we were stuck at home.

Dire economic conditions sent Providoor into liquidation back in April of 2023 owing $6.3m, including $4.4m in vouchers that could not be honoured.

Providoor is relaunching in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with a new team and big chefs and food personalities attaching their names to the brand, including Matt Preston, Silvia Colloca, Anna Polyviou, Luke Nguyen, Gary Mehigan, Manu Feildel and Justin Narayan.

With the relaunch, it has now been broken up into two different sections – Providoor Local and Providoor Frozen. The chef-prepared meals are available to order direct online or through Uber Eats.

In Sydney, if a customer orders at noon, it will be ready for next-day delivery, while orders in Melbourne and Brisbane will be delivered twice a week with a three-day lead time.

Providoor now has kitchens located throughout Sydney in Homebush, Five Dock, Neutral Bay and Moore Park with further kitchens to open elsewhere in the NSW capital as well as in Melbourne and Brisbane in the near future.

Ready-made frozen meals include Gary Mehigan’s pumpkin soup, Anna Polyviou’s vanilla and white chocolate cheesecake and Manu Feildel’s coq au vin. From the hot range, Matt Preston will be rustling up a range of burgers including a lamb, mushroom, fried chicken, pulled pork, and cheeseburger, with sweet potato fries and potato gems.

The Providoor Frozen meals are now available to order at providoor.com. The Providoor Local hot meals will be available on Uber Eats soon.
