Stock up on seasonal goodies, and learn a thing or two while you’re at it.
Sydney foodies know that the best way to mark the arrival of Old Man Winter is to don the beanie and gloves, rug up the dogs in their best warm coats and head out to Carriageworks for their annual seasonal winter market.
The Carriageworks Winter Seasonal Market will be making its return this Saturday, June 14, with new-season produce from farmers across NSW and a free live program focused on seasonality and sustainability.
More than 60 stallholders will be setting up shop, with local farmers and producers selling everything from artisan baked goods and cheeses to handmade preserves and sustainable meats. It’s the perfect time to stock up on the freshest seasonal produce, including an abundance of citrus fruits, brassicas, Jerusalem artichokes and leafy greens.
Market shoppers can also take time out to enjoy free live talks and cooking demonstrations that shine a spotlight on sustainability and handy cooking skills.
