It's beginning to taste a lot like Christmas.

Black Star Pastry, known for their creative dessert creations, have officially dropped their Christmas cake – and it’s incredibly pretty.

The limited edition ‘First Snow’ cake features layers of elderflower cream, drizzles of white chocolate, milk sponge, a vein of Griottine and cherry compote, all perched atop a crunchy roasted wafer base.

It’s dusted with white chocolate to mimic soft forest snow, and topped with hand carved chocolate and pine-flavoured pinecones with cherry essence.

Arnaud Vodounou, Head Pastry Chef at Black Star Pastry and creator of this cake, used a winter wonderland as inspiration for the festive treat.

This is seriously giving me the jingle tingles! Move aside Strawberry Watermelon, there’s a new BSP favourite in town.

This festive creation will be available in both four and ten portion cakes. Pre-orders open on Thursday, December 1 on blackstarpastry.com with collection available at all Sydney and Melbourne stores between Thursday, December 22 and Saturday, December 24.
