A sweet taste of nostalgia.

Many Aussies will have fond childhood memories of heading to the local corner store with their pocket money to buy a Golden Rough. These little round patties of chocolate-coated coconut – originally produced by Mastercraft then later by Nestlé – were usually to be found displayed alongside their far-inferior sibling, the Mint Pattie.

In 2019, Nestlé stepped up its Golden Rough game, releasing the iconic chocolate treat in a new, limited-edition Golden Rough chocolate block. Now that delicious, coconutty block is back, and it’s brought a few mates along to the party.

Joining the Golden Rough Block in stores from this month is the also-returning Aero Milk Bar, along with new releases Aero Strawberry Block and Sharebar, Milkybar Chokito and Milkybar Crunch Block.

The Aero Milk bar delivers those unmistakable melt-in-your-mouth bubbles covered in smooth milk chocolate, while the Aero Strawberry Sharebar and block offer a burst of strawberry bubbles combined with smooth chocolate.

Milkybar Chokito blends chewy caramel pieces and crispy cereal balls with creamy white chocolate, while the Milkybar Crunch Block combines the creaminess of a classic Milkybar with an irresistible crunch for the best of both worlds.

The new Nestlé range of chocolates will be available in stores from April 2025 onwards.
